Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
This gut peptide inhibits exocrine pancreatic secretion, has a vasoconstrictory action and inhibitis jejunal and colonic mobility.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Peptide YY mediates the satiety effects of diets enriched with whey protein fractions in male rats PMID: 29042449
  2. Additional analysis of the findings demonstrated significant interactions of ovarian cycle stage and fed/fasted status with age on GLP-1, but not PYY plasma concentrations PMID: 28237410
  3. These findings indicate that the mechanism underlying type 2 diabetes remission may be mediated by PYY. PMID: 27117413
  4. Serum PYY levels were nonsignificantly decreased in rats with human neuroblastoma and hepatoblastoma transplants. PMID: 25111274
  5. gut PYY(3-36) action at Y2 receptors peripheral to the blood brain barrier plays an essential role in mediating satiety PMID: 23482449
  6. RACK1 modulates the ability of preglomerular vascular smooth muscle cells to respond to the proliferative actions of PYY. PMID: 23303411
  7. Exercise in hypoxia suppressed hunger and increased PYY but did not influence ad libitum energy intake. PMID: 22114179
  8. PYY concentrations in plasma, descending colon and rectum tissues were increased (P < 0.001) throughout pregnancy and lactation. PYY peaked at day 5 of lactation in plasma, as well as descending colon and rectum tissues. PMID: 19778563
  9. PYY induced a contraction of smooth muscle strips from proximal colon, but not on smooth muscle from any other gut segments. PMID: 12383864
  10. findings indicate that insulin-like growth factor-I functions as a positive regulator of peptide YY gene expression and that the stimulatory effect may be mediated by Sp1 proteins PMID: 14592960
  11. PYY(3-36) might play a role in the neuroendocrine modulation of the reproductive axis PMID: 15564330
  12. observations indicate that Peptide YY (PYY) levels are influenced by age, thyroid hormones, and growth hormone and indicate that PYY could be involved in the changes of food intake associated with these conditions PMID: 15687395
  13. study indicates that peripheral Peptide YY (PYY) may transmit satiety signals to the brain in part via the vagal afferent pathway PMID: 15718279
  14. PYY-immunoreactive (ir) cell bodies were localized exclusively to the gigantocellular reticular nucleus (Gi) of the rostral medulla. The highest density of PYY fibers was present within the solitary tract nucleus. PMID: 18022952
  15. Demonstrate the development of a potent homeostatic response to increase food intake when PYY(3-36) reduces food intake and energy reserves in diet-induced obese rats. PMID: 18550871
