Description

The FIS1 recombinant monoclonal antibody is produced through a rigorous and standardized process to ensure its quality and specificity. Initially, B cells are isolated from an immunized animal, where synthesized peptide derived from human FIS1 is used as the immunogen. Subsequently, total RNA is extracted from the B cells and converted into cDNA through reverse transcription. The FIS1 antibody genes are amplified using specific primers targeting the antibody constant regions and inserted into an expression vector. This vector is then introduced into host cells for the production of the FIS1 recombinant monoclonal antibody. The antibody is harvested from the cell culture supernatant and undergoes purification using affinity chromatography, resulting in a highly purified form. To ensure its reliability and functionality, the antibody undergoes comprehensive characterization assays including ELISA, WB, and IHC analysis, which confirm its specific binding to human FIS1 protein.

Function

Involved in the fragmentation of the mitochondrial network and its perinuclear clustering. Plays a minor role in the recruitment and association of the fission mediator dynamin-related protein 1 (DNM1L) to the mitochondrial surface and mitochondrial fission. Can induce cytochrome c release from the mitochondrion to the cytosol, ultimately leading to apoptosis. Also mediates peroxisomal fission.
