Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Receptor for calcitonin-gene-related peptide (CGRP) together with RAMP1 and receptor for adrenomedullin together with RAMP2 or RAMP3. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Endosomal signaling of the CLR mediates pain transmission. PMID: 29087309
  2. TRPV1 in the lungs and CRLR and NK1R in the brainstem of rats can be upregulated by lung ischemia-reperfusion injury in a rapid manner. PMID: 27338549
  3. Increased expression of IMD and all its receptor components (CRLR, RAMP1, RAMP2, and RAMP3) were displayed within the aorta of rats with Hypercholesterolemia. PMID: 26927337
  4. It is concluded that the expression of gross and surface CRLR and RAMP1 were differentially regulated in primary neuronal cultures following morphine treatments, indicating the involvement of CGRP receptor in morphine associated functions. PMID: 23570731
  5. This study showed that CLR immunoreactivity was observed in satellite glial cells (SGCs) as well as in nerve fibers, but not in neurons. PMID: 22208649
  6. Data suggest that CGRP/CGRP receptor signaling plays role in a rat model of synovitis; blocking CGRP/CGRP receptor signal transduction could provide molecular targeted therapy for synovitis in rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis. PMID: 22233274
  7. Data demonstrate that there is a rich expression of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and its receptor elements CLR and RAMP1 in the cerebellum which points towards a functional role of CGRP in cerebellar Purkinje cells. PMID: 21040789
  8. CALCRL protein was found in neuromuscular junctions. Calcrl mRNA level was elevated 6 fold in the muscle endplate. 2 distinct Calcrl messages were alternatively spliced in a non-coding region so that only one translation product is generated. PMID: 21111722
  9. ADM peptide concentration exhibited a spatio-temporal pattern in the rat female reproductive system during gestation and this suggests that ADM may play important roles in gestation. PMID: 21034462
  10. coexpression of CRLR and RAMP2 or RAMP3 mediates the inhibitory effect of adrenomedullin on cell migration, independent of cAMP-dependent signaling pathways. PMID: 12538603
  11. Results showed that mRNA expression of the receptor components was significantly higher in pregnant compared to nonpregnant rats PMID: 12801991
  12. Results demonstrate the presence and cellular localization of calcitonin gene-related peptide receptor components, calcitonin receptor-like receptor and receptor activity modifying protein 1 in the rat placenta. PMID: 12837925
  13. Results of study using immunohistochemical and western blot analyses demonstrate high levels of calcitonin receptor-like (CRL) receptor expressed in rat microvascular endothelium. PMID: 14642779
  14. CRLR exists in the nucleus accumbens of intact rats and is significantly upregulated in rats with inflammation. PMID: 15193773
  15. Adrenomedullin and its receptor component (CRLR/RAMP2) mRNAs were concomitantly expressed in various adipose tissues, whose tissue-specific upregulation was induced during the development of obesity. PMID: 15315911
  16. calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CRLR) and receptor activity-modifying protein 1 (RAMP1), which constitute a CGRP receptor, were significantly upregulated in mesenteric arteries in the Ang II group PMID: 15643132
  17. Data suggest that intracardiac adrenomedullin and calcitonin receptor-like receptor/receptor activity-modifying proteins (RAMP2 and RAMP3) complexes, are upregulated in volume overload-induced cardiac hypertrophy. PMID: 15680493
  18. CLR and RAMP1 traffic from endosomes to lysosomes by ubiquitin-independent mechanisms, where they are degraded at different rates PMID: 17310067
  19. in trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid-induced colitis, rats with knockdown of CLR displayed a significantly greater degree of edema and necrosis than saline- or control dsRNA-injected rats; this study demonstrates that CLR is a functional receptor for CGRP PMID: 17363466
  20. These findings suggest that CGRP or adrenomedullin receptors modulate opioid release in the dorsal horn. PMID: 17614212
  21. CGRP provoked tachycardia of higher amplitude/longer duration in calcitonin receptor-like receptor transgenic mice, by stimulation of myocardial sympathetic activity. PMID: 17660394
  22. A mechanism by which endosomal ECE-1 degrades neuropeptides in endosomes to disrupt the peptide/receptor/beta-arrestin complex, freeing internalized receptors from beta-arrestins and promoting recycling and resensitization, is proposed. PMID: 18039931
  23. Effects of immobilization on tendon healing were related to changes in the peripheral expression of substance P (NK(1))- and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CRLR and RAMP-1)- receptors PMID: 18655130
  24. mRNA and protein levels of CRLR and were upregulated in spontaneously hypertensive rats PMID: 19041918
