The production of the ENO2 monoclonal antibody involves immunizing mice with purified recombinant human ENO2 protein. The spleen cells of the immunized mice are then harvested and fused with myeloma cells to create hybridomas. The resulting hybridoma cells are screened to select out those that produce antibodies that specifically recognize ENO2 protein. The selected hybridomas are then cultured and the antibodies they produce are harvested from the mouse ascites. The harvested antibodies are purified using protein G affinity chromatography, resulting in a highly pure ENO2 monoclonal antibody with a purity of over 95%. This ENO2 monoclonal antibody has a high specificity for human and mouse S100A9 protein and can be used in ELISA, WB, and IHC applications.
ENO2, also known as NSE, is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate and plays an essential role in energy metabolism, particularly in glycolysis. It is also involved in neuronal development, synaptic plasticity, and response to oxidative stress.
