Description

The TUBA1C antibody is a polyclonal antibody produced in a rabbit. After immunization with the recombinant human TUBA1C protein (29-184aa), the rabbit generated ample antibodies against the target immunogen as a result of the induced immune response. The TUBA1C polyclonal antibody was then purified from the collected rabbit serum through protein G affinity chromatography. The purity of this antibody is greater than 95%. This TUBA1C antibody can be used for the detection of the human and mouse TUBA1C proteins in ELISA, WB, IHC, and IP applications.

The target protein TUBA1C specifically is involved in the formation and stabilization of microtubules, which are composed of alpha and beta tubulin dimers. It plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of neuronal and non-neuronal cells, and its dysfunction has been associated with a range of disorders, including cancer, neurodegeneration, and developmental abnormalities.

Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. It binds two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha chain.
