Description

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of human Perforin-1 (PRF1) in biological samples, supporting research into cytotoxic lymphocyte function and immune surveillance. Because soluble perforin levels reflect the degranulation activity of NK cells and cytotoxic T lymphocytes, this kit is designed to capture the dynamic range researchers encounter when comparing resting and activated immune states across multiple sample contexts.

Detection Range: The 15.6–1000 pg/ml range spans the low baseline concentrations of soluble PRF1 in healthy serum through the elevated levels observed during active cytotoxic responses, viral infections, or graft rejection episodes. Most samples from stimulated cultures or patient plasma can be measured directly, though samples from highly activated NK cell assays may require dilution.

Sensitivity: At 7.8 pg/ml, the kit detects PRF1 in conditioned media from unstimulated or low-density primary NK and CD8⁺ T cell cultures, where perforin release is minimal but biologically meaningful for establishing baseline degranulation.
