Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of rat MIP-1α in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of CCL3 (MIP-1α) in rat samples, supporting immunology research focused on macrophage-driven inflammatory signaling and leukocyte recruitment. Because CCL3 is rapidly secreted at low concentrations during early innate immune activation and varies dramatically between resting and stimulated conditions, researchers need an assay calibrated to capture this dynamic expression window.
Detection Range: The 3.9–250 pg/mL range spans CCL3 concentrations typically observed from baseline levels in naive rat serum to elevated levels in LPS-challenged or injury models, reducing the need for extensive sample dilution in most acute inflammation experiments.
Sensitivity: At 1.95 pg/mL, the kit detects CCL3 in unstimulated macrophage supernatants and resting-state plasma, where this chemokine is often present at single-digit pg/mL concentrations before inflammatory challenge.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and tissue homogenates enables researchers to correlate circulating CCL3 with local tissue expression and in vitro macrophage or microglial secretion within a single experimental framework.
Assay Efficiency: The 1–5 hour protocol and 50–100 µL sample volume accommodate primary rat macrophage cultures and small-volume plasma draws from serial bleeding protocols, preserving limited biological material for parallel analyses.
This kit is directly applicable to rat models of sepsis, neuroinflammation, and hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury.
