The LAG3 monoclonal antibody production process involves immunizing mice with recombinant human LAG3 protein (29-450aa), then isolating B cells from the mouse spleen, fusing them with myeloma cells to produce hybridomas, and selecting and culturing hybridomas that produce LAG3 antibodies. The LAG3 monoclonal antibody is purified using protein G affinity chromatography from the mouse ascites and has a purity of over 95%. Its specificity has been tested in ELISA, WB, IHC, and FC applications.
LAG3 protein mainly regulates immune responses by suppressing T-cell activation and promoting T-cell exhaustion. It binds to MHC class II molecules on antigen-presenting cells, leading to the inhibition of T-cell activation and the promotion of immune tolerance. LAG3 protein is being targeted as a potential immunotherapy target in cancer treatment due to its ability to regulate immune responses.
