Description |
Recombinant human CD44 protein (Gln21-Pro220) with a fusion mouse IgG1 Fc-Avi-Tag at the C-terminus, was expressed in mammalian cells. This CD44 protein is has a purity of more than 92% and endotoxin content of less than 1.0 EU/ug. It is a biologically active protein. Its activity has been determined through a functional ELISA in which the anti-CD44 antibody can bind to this CD44 protein with the EC50 of 2.865-5.099 ng/ml. This CD44 protein is a biotinylated protein and is suitable for ELISA, Western blot, surface plasma resonance, and other relevant assays. It is available now and can reach your experimental bench faster. CD44 participates in various physiological processes, including cell proliferation, adhesion, migration, hematopoiesis, and lymphocyte activation, homing, and extravasation. It is implicated in numerous diseases such as cancer, arthritis, interstitial lung disease (ILD), vascular disease, wound healing, and infections by pathogens. |
Purity | Greater than 92% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
Endotoxin | Less than 1.0 EU/ug as determined by LAL method. |
Activity | Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Anti-CD44 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (CSB-MA004938A0m) at 2 μg/ml can bind Biotinylated human CD44, the EC50 is 2.865-5.099 ng/ml. |

Form |
Lyophilized powder Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand. |
Buffer | Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered PBS, 6% Trehalose, pH 7.4 |
Reconstitution | We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. |
Troubleshooting and FAQs |
Protein FAQs |
Storage Condition | Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Shelf Life | The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature
and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C. |
Lead Time | 3-7 business days |
Notes | Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week. |

Function |
Cell-surface receptor that plays a role in cell-cell interactions, cell adhesion and migration, helping them to sense and respond to changes in the tissue microenvironment. Participates thereby in a wide variety of cellular functions including the activation, recirculation and homing of T-lymphocytes, hematopoiesis, inflammation and response to bacterial infection. Engages, through its ectodomain, extracellular matrix components such as hyaluronan/HA, collagen, growth factors, cytokines or proteases and serves as a platform for signal transduction by assembling, via its cytoplasmic domain, protein complexes containing receptor kinases and membrane proteases. Such effectors include PKN2, the RhoGTPases RAC1 and RHOA, Rho-kinases and phospholipase C that coordinate signaling pathways promoting calcium mobilization and actin-mediated cytoskeleton reorganization essential for cell migration and adhesion.
