Description

CUSABIO yields the anti-ITGB4 polyclonal antibody in the rabbits that are immunized with a peptide corresponding to amino acids 1401-1533 of the recombinant human ITGB4 protein. This ITGB4 antibody shows reactivity with human and mouse ITGB4 proteins. It exists as an unconjugated IgG isotype. And it has been purified by protein G affinity chromatography and is more than 95% pure. It can recognize ITGB4 protein in multiple applications, including ELISA, WB, IF, and IHC.

The main function of ITGB4 is to mediate cell adhesion, migration, and survival through its interaction with laminins, with important implications for the development and maintenance of epithelial tissues and the progression of various diseases.

Integrin alpha-6/beta-4 is a receptor for laminin. Plays a critical structural role in the hemidesmosome of epithelial cells. Is required for the regulation of keratinocyte polarity and motility. ITGA6:ITGB4 binds to NRG1 (via EGF domain) and this binding is essential for NRG1-ERBB signaling. ITGA6:ITGB4 binds to IGF1 and this binding is essential for IGF1 signaling. ITGA6:ITGB4 binds to IGF2 and this binding is essential for IGF2 signaling.
