Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

To achieve the expression of the recombinant Human PDCD2 protein in e.coli cells, a DNA fragment encoding the Human PDCD2 protein (1–344aa) is inserted into a plasmid vector, which is then transferred to e.coli cells. After screening positive cells, they are cultured and induced to creat the PDCD2 protein. The protein features a N-terminal 10xHis tag fusion. The recombinant Human PDCD2 protein is purified from the cell lysate through affinity purification. The purity of the obtained recombinant Human PDCD2 protein is greater than 85%, measured by SDS-PAGE.

Target Background

Function
May be a DNA-binding protein with a regulatory function. May play an important role in cell death and/or in regulation of cell proliferation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. PDCD2 and NCoR1 may act as tumor suppressors in Gastrointestinal stromal tumors cells through the Smad signaling pathway. PMID: 26589942
  2. PDCD2 may play an important role in tumor suppression in osteosarcoma. These mechanisms might be related to immune response induced by CD4(+) and CD8(+) T cells. PMID: 26617804
  3. Low PDCD2 expression is associated with gastric cancer. PMID: 25111461
  4. Loss of PDCD2 expression could contribute to gastric cancer development and progression. PMID: 25334010
  5. Expression of human PDCD2 fully rescues the Drosophila Zfrp8 phenotype, underlining the functional conservation of Zfrp8/PDCD2. PMID: 24381196
  6. PDCD2 RNA expression in acute leukemia patients correlates with disease status and is a significant predictor of clinical relapse. PMID: 23760497
  7. PDCD2 has a novel regulatory role in human hematopoiesis and is essential for erythroid development. PMID: 22922207
  8. Transfection of a construct expressing PDCD2 induces apoptosis in human cell lines through activation of the caspase cascade. PMID: 20605493
  9. To study the role of PDCD2_C domain in apoptosis, the cDNAs of two isoforms of PDCD2 and MGC13096 were cloned. PDCD2 (NM_002598) was over expressed when endothelial cells treated with leukotriene D4 or natural killer cells were activated by IL-2. PMID: 16311922
  10. repression of PDCD2 by BCL6 is likely important in the pathogenesis of certain human lymphomas PMID: 17468402
