Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description

MICB serves as a stress-induced ligand for NKG2D receptors on natural killer and T cells, making it a critical target for immunotherapy research in transplantation and cancer. This recombinant cynomolgus macaque MICB (aa 31–297) demonstrates quantifiable binding to anti-MICA/B antibody in functional ELISA with an EC50 of 1.749–2.065 ng/mL, providing a validated tool for competitive inhibition assays and therapeutic antibody epitope mapping in preclinical primate models. The yeast expression system yields the extracellular domain with conformational integrity sufficient for receptor-ligand interaction studies, including screening of NKG2D-blocking biologics and affinity characterization by surface plasmon resonance or biolayer interferometry. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg align with standards expected in functional binding assays and antibody validation workflows where low background interference is essential.
