Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Functions as a transcriptional regulator. May function as a transcriptional repressor. Functions in the differentiation and the maintenance of the central serotonergic neurons. May play a role in cell growth.
Gene References into Functions
  1. These results suggest a causal relationship between 5-HT1A and Pet1, and reveal a potential mechanism by which 5-HT1A-Pet1 autoregulatory loop is maintained by serotonin. PMID: 24972638
  2. novel evidence for the role of Pet-1 in fear processing and dendritic organization of amygdala neurons PMID: 24100022
  3. Pet1-dependent and Pet1-resistant 5-serotonin (5-HT) neurons target different brain centers that might delineate the anatomical basis for a dual serotonergic control on stress responses. PMID: 21414898
  4. The data of this study indicated that, in addition to transcriptional regulation by Pet-1 in raphe neurons, 5-HT1A receptor expression is regulated indirectly by alterations in 5-HT neurotransmission in a region-specific manner PMID: 21182526
  5. This study indicated that Pet-1 is required across the lifespan of the mouse and that behavioral pathogenesis can result from both developmental and adult-onset alterations in serotonergic transcription. PMID: 20818386
  6. Pet-1(-/-) neonates are probably not hypoxic from respiratory dysfunction until P14-15; neither apnea-related hypoxia nor greater hypopnea contribute to the enhanced bradycardias of Pet-1 and there may be enhanced temperature reflex in hyperthermia PMID: 20421636
  7. expressed in central serotonergic (5-hydroxytryptaminergic) neurons located in the mes-/metencephalic raphe nuclei from E11 on until adulthood PMID: 11875656
  8. Pet-1 is a critical determinant of 5-HT neuron identity and Pet-1-dependent program is involved in serotonergic modulation of behavior PMID: 12546819
  9. Ectopic expression of Lmx1b plus Pet-1 is able to induce formation of 5-HT cells in the most ventral spinal cord, where Nkx2.2 is normally expressed. Combined expression of Lmx1b, Pet-1, and Nkx2.2, drives 5-HT differentiation in the dorsal spinal cord PMID: 14602809
  10. Our findings identify a direct transcriptional interaction between Gata-2 and FEV and a unique marker for new insight into FEV/Pet-1 function in 5-HT neuron development. PMID: 19036967
