The PGF monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthesized peptide derived from human PGF. After immunization, B cells are isolated and fused with myeloma cells to form hybridomas. The hybridomas are screened for the production of PGF antibodies. The PGF monoclonal antibody is sequenced and then cloned into a vector, which is transfected into cells for cultivation. The resulting PGF recombinant monoclonal antibody is isolated and purified from the cell culture supernatant using affinity chromatography. This PGF recombinant monoclonal antibody has been tested in both ELISA and IHC applications and specifically reacts with human PGF protein.
The PGF protein, a member of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family of proteins, plays a role in angiogenesis. Specifically, PGF is involved in the growth and differentiation of endothelial cells. PGF binds to and activates its receptor, VEGFR-1, which leads to the activation of several downstream signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation, migration, and survival. PGF has also been shown to play a role in inflammation and tumor growth, as well as in pregnancy and the development of the placenta.
