CCL14 (HCC-1) is among the most abundant chemokines in human plasma, yet its truncated mature form (residues 28–93) represents the potently active variant that drives monocyte and macrophage recruitment through CCR1 and CCR5 engagement. This tag-free recombinant protein elicits robust monocyte chemotaxis at 5–20 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for Transwell migration assays, downstream MAPK and NF-κB signaling studies, and functional characterization of CCR1/CCR5 receptor biology. The faithful reproduction of the processed 66-amino-acid sequence ensures receptor binding fidelity, supporting use as an immunogen for antibody development, a positive control in chemokine detection ELISAs, or a reference standard for quantitative cytokine profiling. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the stringent criteria needed to prevent LPS-driven artifacts in primary immune cell assays and in vivo inflammation models.
