Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Description

CXCL2 (MIP-2) is a key CXC chemokine that drives neutrophil recruitment during acute inflammation, making validated recombinant forms essential for mechanistic studies of innate immune trafficking. This tag-free rat CXCL2 (residues 28–100), representing the mature secreted sequence, demonstrates confirmed biological activity in a rat neutrophil chemotaxis bioassay at 10–100 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for Transwell migration assays, CXCR2 signaling pathway studies involving MAPK and NF-κB activation, and in vivo rat models of sterile inflammation or infection. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound neutrophil activation readouts, while purity exceeding 98% by SDS-PAGE supports use as a reliable reference standard in CXCL2 detection ELISAs or as a positive control for antibody validation in western blot.
