Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human MIP-1α in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of CCL3 (MIP-1α) in human samples, supporting research into innate immune activation, inflammatory signaling, and leukocyte chemotaxis. Because CCL3 is rapidly secreted at low concentrations by activated macrophages and T cells during early inflammatory responses, detecting it requires an assay calibrated for the picogram-level range typical of clinical and in vitro specimens.
Detection Range: The 4.69–300 pg/mL range aligns with circulating CCL3 levels observed in healthy serum (typically <50 pg/mL) and the elevated concentrations reported in sepsis, HIV infection, and rheumatoid arthritis synovial fluid. Most serum and plasma samples can be assayed neat or with minimal dilution, while stimulated cell culture supernatants may require dilution into range.
Sensitivity: At 1.17 pg/mL, the assay detects CCL3 in low-abundance contexts such as unstimulated baseline plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, or early time points in macrophage activation kinetics where secretion is just initiating.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates enables paired designs comparing systemic CCL3 levels with local tissue expression—critical for studies dissecting compartmentalized inflammation in joints, tumors, or lung tissue.
Assay Efficiency: The 1–5 hour protocol and 50–100 µL sample volume accommodate limited clinical specimens and time-course experiments requiring multiple sampling from primary monocyte or PBMC cultures.
This kit is well-suited for studies in sepsis biomarker profiling, tumor microenvironment characterization, and chronic inflammatory disease monitoring.
