Description

The product CSB-EL006241MO is a sandwich ELISA kit developed to measure concentrations of mouse CXCL11 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, or tissue homogenates. This assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique in combination with the enzyme-substrate chromogenic reaction to quantify the analyte in the sample. The color develops positively to the amount of CXCL11 in samples. The color intensity is measured at 450 nm via a microplate reader.

CXCL11, also known as I-TAC, mainly functions as an inflammatory chemokine that recruits T cells, NK cells, and monocytes/macrophages at sites of infection, predominantly through the receptor CXCR3. CXCL11 can mediate inflammatory responses, leukocyte trafficking, adaptive resistance, hematopoiesis, cancer cell transfer, and angiogenesis. CXCL11 signals through CXCL11, stimulating numerous downstream signaling pathways which are involved in tumorigenicity, growth, apoptosis, angiogenesis, invasion, and metastasis of cancer cells. CXCL11 has also been reported to be associated with a poor response to therapy.

Target Background

Function
(From Uniprot)
Chemotactic for interleukin-activated T-cells but not unstimulated T-cells, neutrophils or monocytes. Induces calcium release in activated T-cells. Binds to CXCR3. May play an important role in CNS diseases which involve T-cell recruitment. May play a role in skin immune responses.
