Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is a pleiotropic cytokine that drives pro-inflammatory signaling and tumor microenvironment remodeling, making it a critical target in cancer immunology research. This recombinant human MIF, covering the full-length mature sequence (aa 2–115) with a C-terminal hFc1 tag, demonstrates confirmed binding activity in functional ELISA, where immobilized protein at 2 μg/ml binds anti-MIF rabbit monoclonal antibody with an EC50 of 49.61–69.45 ng/ml — a result that supports use as a coating antigen for antibody development and validation, or as a positive control in MIF detection assays. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, determined by LAL method, minimize LPS-driven artifacts in immune cell-based experiments such as macrophage activation, NF-κB or MAPK signaling pathway studies, and in vivo tumor biology models. Mammalian cell expression preserves native folding and post-translational modifications, while purity exceeding 85% by SDS-PAGE satisfies the quality thresholds commonly required for these functional applications.
Applications : Enzymatic activity in vitro, ELISA standard and its raw materials
Review: I used CSB-MP013826HU product and anti-MIF antibody for an ELISA experiment, the EC50 was 27.02-39.75ng/ml, and the protein had good binding activity. The affinity test shows that the affinity is excellent and relatively stable. We have purchased several batches, with no significant difference between batches and good repeatability! In ELISA experiments, both as a coating material and as a standard, have good repeatability.
