To produce the UAP1 recombinant monoclonal antibody, the UAP1 monoclonal antibody is harvested first. And then, sequencing the UAP1 monoclonal antibody gene and inserting the gene into a plasmid vector. The constructed vector is transfected into a host cell line for culture. The synthesized peptide derived from human UAP1 is used as the immunogen to produce the UAP1 monoclonal antibody. After that, affinity chromatography is used to purify the resulting UAP1 recombinant monoclonal antibody. The specificity of this antibody is confirmed through ELISA and WB applications. This UAP1 recombinant monoclonal antibody is only reactive with human UAP1 protein.
The UAP1 protein plays an important role in the biosynthesis of UDP-GlcNAc, which is involved in a wide range of cellular processes. UAP1 catalyzes the final step in the biosynthesis of UDP-GlcNAc, which is a key precursor for the synthesis of glycoproteins, glycolipids, and proteoglycans. UAP1 also plays a role in the regulation of protein O-GlcNAcylation, cell signaling pathways, and cell growth and proliferation. Dysregulation of UAP1 activity has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
