Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Description

CXCL5 (LIX) is a key ELR⁺ CXC chemokine that drives neutrophil recruitment during acute inflammatory responses, making precise functional characterization essential for murine inflammation research. This tag-free recombinant mouse CXCL5 (residues 49–118) corresponds to the mature processed form and demonstrates confirmed chemoattractant activity on human neutrophils at 10–100 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for neutrophil chemotaxis and transwell migration assays, as well as downstream CXCR2-mediated MAPK and NF-κB signaling studies. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound immune cell activation readouts, supporting use in sensitive in vivo mouse models of inflammation or infection and in cell-based functional assays where neutrophil responses must be attributed specifically to CXCL5 signaling. Purity exceeding 96% by SDS-PAGE further satisfies the criteria expected for antibody development, ELISA coating antigen preparation, and use as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms.
