Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human IFN-γ in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of human interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), a pivotal type II interferon produced primarily by T cells and NK cells that orchestrates cell-mediated immune responses. Because IFN-γ levels can span from near-undetectable baseline concentrations in healthy plasma to sharply elevated values during active immune activation, the kit is engineered to capture this dynamic range across diverse experimental contexts.
Detection Range: The 7.8–500 pg/ml range aligns with the physiological and pathological concentrations of circulating IFN-γ, from low resting levels in healthy serum to elevated concentrations seen during infection, graft rejection, or Th1-driven inflammation. Mitogen-stimulated PBMC supernatants may require dilution to fall within range, while unstimulated samples can typically be assayed neat.
Sensitivity: At 1.95 pg/ml, the kit detects the low basal IFN-γ levels present in unstimulated plasma or early-phase immune responses, where concentrations often fall below 10 pg/ml.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and cell culture supernatants enables researchers to correlate systemic IFN-γ levels with local tissue production or ex vivo T cell and NK cell functional assays within a single study.
Assay Efficiency: The 1–5 hour protocol and 50–100 µl sample volume accommodate limited-volume specimens from PBMC cultures or pediatric draws while supporting high-throughput screening of stimulation conditions.
This kit is directly applicable to tuberculosis immune monitoring, transplant rejection surveillance, and Th1/Th2 polarization studies.
