CSF1 (M-CSF) is a key regulator of monocyte/macrophage survival, proliferation, and differentiation, making precise control of its bioactivity essential for meaningful functional studies. This recombinant human CSF1 fragment (residues 33–190) demonstrates strong signaling potency, with an ED50 of 0.59–1.21 ng/mL in a THP-1 proliferation assay, providing a reliable basis for macrophage differentiation protocols, dose-response proliferation assays, and downstream JAK/STAT or MAPK signaling pathway analyses. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound monocyte and macrophage activation readouts, which satisfies the purity and endotoxin criteria typical for in vivo inflammation models and sensitive cell-based functional studies. Expressed in yeast with a C-terminal 6×His tag and purified to greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE, this protein is also appropriate for use as a reference standard in M-CSF detection assays or as a coating antigen for antibody validation by ELISA.
