The ICAM1 recombinant monoclonal antibody is produced using protein and DNA recombinant technology. Mice are initially immunized with a synthetic peptide derived from human ICAM1, and the spleen cells are extracted under sterile conditions after a certain period of time. The RNA is then extracted from the cells, and the cDNA synthesized through RNA reverse transcription is utilized as a template to amplify the ICAM1 antibody gene through PCR. The obtained gene is introduced into a vector and transfected into host cells for further culturing. The affinity-chromatography purified ICAM1 recombinant monoclonal antibody is thoroughly verified for its ability to detect human ICAM1 protein in ELISA, IHC, and FC experiments.
The ICAM1 protein is a transmembrane protein that is involved in cell adhesion and immune response. Specifically, ICAM1 binds to the integrin lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) on leukocytes, which allows leukocytes to bind to and migrate across the endothelium and into the underlying tissues during inflammation. ICAM1 can also interact with other proteins, such as fibrinogen, which can enhance leukocyte adhesion. Additionally, ICAM1 can be cleaved from the cell surface and released into circulation as a soluble form, which can modulate immune responses and inflammation.
