Target Details This protein is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This cytokine is produced by activated macrophages as a proprotein, which is proteolytically processed to its active form by caspase 1 (CASP1/ICE). This cytokine is an important mediator of the inflammatory response, and is involved in a variety of cellular activities, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The induction of cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX2) by this cytokine in the central nervous system (CNS) is found to contribute to inflammatory pain hypersensitivity. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2.

Thanks for your inquiry. If you want to detect GCF (gingival crevicular fluid) sample,we suggest you do pre-testing first.

I am interested in ELISA Kit Cat#CSB-E08053h. My highest concentration of testing drug will contain 10% DMSO. I am worried the high concentration DMSO will affect the ELISA. Could you help to provide information about my worries? Thank you for your help.
My Experiment Procedure:
1. culture cell
2. Treat testing drug
3. Use supernates to run ELISA

Thanks for your inquiry. DMSO indeed will affect elisa assays as it reacts with hydrophobic group of protein and change the protein.If your experiment requires it as a must,then you can do pre-testing first.If not a must,you can choose other options.
