Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human IL-1β in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) in human samples, supporting research into innate immune activation, inflammasome biology, and inflammatory disease pathogenesis. Because IL-1β is secreted at low picogram-level concentrations and its detection must span both homeostatic and acutely inflamed states, the kit is engineered to address the dynamic range and sensitivity demands specific to this cytokine.
Detection Range: The 2.344–150 pg/ml range captures IL-1β concentrations from baseline circulating levels in healthy serum (~1–5 pg/ml) through the elevated concentrations observed in sepsis, autoinflammatory syndromes, and stimulated monocyte supernatants, minimizing the need for sample dilution or concentration in most experimental contexts.
Sensitivity: At 0.586 pg/ml, the kit detects sub-physiological IL-1β levels, enabling measurement in unstimulated cell culture supernatants, early-phase inflammatory responses, and plasma samples where mature IL-1β secretion is limited prior to full inflammasome activation.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and cell culture supernatants allows researchers to correlate systemic IL-1β levels with local tissue production and in vitro inflammasome activation studies within a single assay platform.
Assay Efficiency: Requiring only 50–100 µl per well and 1–5 hours to complete, the kit accommodates limited-volume samples from primary human macrophage cultures and supports same-day data acquisition alongside parallel NLRP3 or caspase-1 activity assays.
This kit is particularly suited for studies in CAPS and other autoinflammatory disorders, sepsis immunophenotyping, and NLRP3 inflammasome pathway characterization.
