Fibronectin's cell-binding and heparin-binding domains are critical mediators of integrin engagement and extracellular matrix assembly, and this tag-free partial recombinant human FN1 encompasses both regions (aa 1270–1546 and aa 1721–2016) to preserve these functional interfaces. Validated activity demonstrates an ED50 of 0.1–0.5 μg/ml for supporting cell attachment and spreading as a culture substratum, providing a suitable basis for cell adhesion studies, integrin-binding interaction assays, and cancer invasion models requiring quantifiable matrix engagement. Although expressed in *E. coli* and therefore non-glycosylated, the protein retains robust biological activity, making it appropriate for 3D scaffold coating, wound healing migration assays, and serving as a coating antigen for antibody validation workflows. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for sensitive cell-based assays where contamination-driven artifacts must be minimized.
