Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Chemotactic factor for t lymphocytes but not monocytes or granulocytes. May play a role in T-cell development in thymus and in trafficking and activation of mature T-cells. Binds to CCR4 and CCR8.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The present results suggest that TNF-alpha-induced CCL17 mRNA transcription in canine keratinocytes is positively regulated by p38 but negatively controlled by ERK. PMID: 20837364
  2. This study suggests that interferon-gamma may suppress granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor production from canine keratinocytes, although further studies are required to confirm this. PMID: 20860556
  3. Inflammatory cytokines are important inducing factors for the production of CCL17 in the lesional skin of dogs with atopic dermatitis. atopic dermatitis. PMID: 20022349
Subcellular Location
Secreted.
Protein Families
Intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in thymus, spleen, lymph node, lung and heart.
