The recombinant Human NR3C1 was expressed with the amino acid range of 521-777. This NR3C1 protein is theoretically predicted to have a molecular weight of 61.3 kDa. This protein is generated in a e.coli-based system. The NR3C1 coding gene included the N-terminal 10xHis-GST tag, which simplifies the detection and purification processes of the recombinant NR3C1 protein in following stages of expression and purification.
The glucocorticoid receptor (NR3C1) is a crucial member of the nuclear receptor superfamily. It functions as a ligand-activated transcription factor, primarily responding to glucocorticoid hormones such as cortisol. Upon ligand binding, NR3C1 translocates to the nucleus, where it forms dimers and binds to specific glucocorticoid response elements in the DNA. This interaction leads to the regulation of target gene expression, influencing diverse physiological processes, including metabolism, immune response, and stress. NR3C1 plays a pivotal role in anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive actions. Research areas involving the NR3C1 span endocrinology, immunology, and pharmacology, focusing on its implications in stress response, immune function, and therapeutic applications in various medical conditions. There are currently no reviews for this product.
