Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

and FAQs
Protein FAQs
Storage Condition Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
IL-8 is a chemotactic factor that attracts neutrophils, basophils, and T-cells, but not monocytes. It is also involved in neutrophil activation. It is released from several cell types in response to an inflammatory stimulus.
Gene References into Functions
  1. This study evaluated the subcellular localization and other functions of TGEV nsp7 protein through analysis of its effects on cell growth, cell cycle progression, interleukin 8 (IL-8) expression, and NF-kappaB activation. PMID: 29521102
  2. The JNK-activated AP-1 subunit c-Jun was critical for the up-regulation of IL-8 expression by PRRSV PMID: 28347884
  3. These results suggest that porcine circovirus 2 induces IL-8 secretion via the TLR2/MyD88/NF-kappaB signalling pathway. PMID: 26581603
  4. Facilitated degradation of the RGS16 by porcine circovirus type 2 ORF3 further enhances NFkappaB translocation into the nucleus through the ERK1/2 signalling pathway and increased IL-6 and IL-8 mRNA transcripts. PMID: 25575706
  5. Suggest that the interplay between TGFbeta-2 and LPS regulates the levels of IL-8 in the immature newborn intestine. PMID: 25147235
  6. downregulated gene expression elite controllers (fraction of human population displaying resistance to HIV infection) PMID: 23751822
  7. Data suggest that MSK1 and MSK2 are the major CREB kinases in fibroblast-like synoviocytes from rheumatoid arthritis patients stimulated with lysophosphatidic acid and that phosphorylation of CREB1 at Ser-133 plays a significant role in IL-8 production. PMID: 24792438
  8. Study presents evidence demonstrating a single species of exotoxin ApxI, derived from A. pleuropneumoniae serotype 10, induces the expression and production of proinflammatory cytokines IL-1beta, IL-8 and TNF-alpha in porcine alveolar macrophages. PMID: 21314908
  9. local expression of IL-1beta and IL-8 in non-bacterial thrombotic endocarditis, Staphylococcus aureus infective endocarditis, animals with S. aureus sepsis without endocarditis and controls PMID: 23879680
  10. In swine, IL-8, TNF-ALPHA, INOS AND MIP-1BETA were increased during mechanical ventilation in a time-related fashion. PMID: 23102097
  11. Classical swine fever virus NS2 protein promotes interleukin-8 expression. PMID: 21318239
  12. Developmental changes in IL-8 isoforms may serve to minimize its inflammatory effects in the fetus and also provide a mechanism to restore its full activity after birth PMID: 19232500
