Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description

CXCL5 (ENA-78) is a potent CXC chemokine that drives neutrophil recruitment through CXCR2 signaling, making it central to studies of acute inflammation and tumor-associated immune infiltration. This tag-free recombinant human CXCL5, spanning residues 44–114 of the mature processed sequence, demonstrates confirmed biological activity in neutrophil chemotaxis bioassays at 10–100 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for migration assays, CXCR2-dependent MAPK and NF-κB signaling studies, and in vivo models of neutrophilic inflammation. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound neutrophil activation readouts, which satisfies the stringent criteria typical for primary immune cell functional assays and antibody validation workflows such as ELISA standard curves or Western blot positive controls. Produced in *E. coli* with greater than 95% purity by SDS-PAGE, this recombinant CXCL5 protein also serves as a reliable reference standard in cytokine detection platforms.
