The MYC monoclonal antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody that recognizes the MYC protein in human samples. It is produced from hybridomas formed by fusing myeloma cells with spleen cells from an immunized mouse. The mouse is immunized with the recombinant human MYC protein (1-439aa). The MYC monoclonal antibody has been validated for use in ELISA and WB. It is purified by protein G and has a high purity (95%+).
The MYC is a transcription factor that plays a key role in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. It binds to specific DNA sequences and activates or represses target genes involved in these cellular processes. Abnormal expression or activation of MYC is often associated with the development of cancer and other diseases. It also functions in other cellular processes, such as ribosome biogenesis, metabolism, and DNA replication and repair.
