MAP2K2

MAP2K2, mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 2, alias MEK2, MKK2 and so on. It is a bispecific protein kinase, a member of the MAP kinase kinase family, encoded by the human cell's own gene.MAP2K2 plays an important role in a variety of biological processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, cell adhesion and transcription. Its mechanism of action is that it receives the phosphorylation activation signal from upstream RAF kinase and then phosphorylates downstream ERK1/2 (extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2), thus activating ERK1/2 as a transcriptional regulator.The signaling pathways that MAP2K2 participates in the regulation of are signaling transduction pathways such as cell proliferation, stress, inflammation, differentiation, synchronization, transformation, and apoptosis, etc.
