Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of mouse IL-6 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This kit provides quantitative measurement of interleukin-6 (IL-6) in mouse samples, supporting immunology research focused on this pleiotropic cytokine's role in inflammation, acute phase responses, and immune regulation. Because IL-6 levels can shift rapidly and dramatically between baseline and inflammatory states, researchers need an assay calibrated to capture both resting and stimulated conditions across diverse experimental models.
Detection Range: The 15.6–1000 pg/mL range spans from near-baseline circulating IL-6 in healthy mice through the elevated concentrations typical of LPS challenge, infection models, and tumor microenvironment studies, minimizing the need for serial dilutions in most acute inflammation experiments while accommodating unstimulated controls.
Sensitivity: At 7.8 pg/mL, the assay detects the low constitutive IL-6 levels present in naïve mouse serum and early-phase conditioned media from resting macrophages or splenocytes before robust stimulation, capturing subtle shifts that mark initial inflammatory signaling.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and tissue homogenates (50 µL per well) enables researchers to correlate systemic IL-6 responses with local tissue production and in vitro cellular output within a single experimental framework.
Assay Efficiency: The assay requires only a 50µL sample loading volume, which is typically half or less of the volume required by standard kits, making it exceptionally valuable for studies with limited or precious sample material. The 3.5-hour protocol and 50 µL sample volume accommodate small-volume bleeds from longitudinal mouse studies and limited primary cell harvests without sacrificing quantitative accuracy.
This kit is well suited for collagen-induced arthritis studies, sepsis modeling, and characterization of IL-6 signaling in colitis-associated tumorigenesis.

Sample species: Mouse

Review: The concentration of IL-6 in mouse serum was determined using CSB-E04639m-MS. The OD values of the standard curve are 3.0291, 1.67045, 0.9323, 0.528, 0.33375, 0.20375, and 0.14745. The OD value of normal mouse serum is approximately 0.09-0.1, while that of virus-infected mouse serum ranges from 0.3 to 1.6. The determination is accurate, and this product is quite easy to use.
