KLF4

KLF4, or GKLF and EZF, is a transcription factor predominantly expressed in colon and gastric cancer tissues. It is involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and embryonic development. KLF4 directly regulates gene transcription by binding to promoter elements, exhibiting both tumor-suppressive and -promoting effects. It plays a significant role in tumorigenesis and vascular remodeling and is a key inducer for reprogramming somatic cells into iPS cells, offering potential for gene therapy applications in clinical medicine.
