Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered PBS, 6% Trehalose, pH 7.4
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Basically, we can dispatch the products out in 3-7 working days after receiving your orders. Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

CD20 presents a significant challenge as a multi-pass transmembrane target, and this virus-like particle (VLP) format preserves the native conformation of full-length canine CD20 (aa 1–297) by displaying it within a membrane context—critical for generating conformationally relevant immune responses and accurate binding data. Functional ELISA confirms that immobilized dog CD20-VLPs bind an anti-CD20 recombinant antibody with an EC50 of 147.3–199.0 ng/mL, validating the protein's suitability as an antigen for therapeutic antibody screening, cross-reactivity assessment, and immunization campaigns targeting canine lymphoma. The mammalian expression system ensures proper folding and post-translational modifications, while endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfy criteria typical for cell-based functional assays and in vivo immunization studies in veterinary oncology models. The C-terminal 10×His tag, detectable under denaturing conditions, supports use in Western blot-based quality control without interfering with native-conformation binding assays.

Target Background

Function
B-lymphocyte-specific membrane protein that plays a role in the regulation of cellular calcium influx necessary for the development, differentiation, and activation of B-lymphocytes. Functions as a store-operated calcium (SOC) channel component promoting calcium influx after activation by the B-cell receptor/BCR.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Our findings indicate that CD47 blockade alone and in combination with anti-CD20 may be an effective strategy for treating canine lymphoma PMID: 27856424
  2. Canine CD20 gene was cloned and sequenced, and the expression of CD20 mRNA was investigated in canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), and lymph nodes from healthy dogs, and canine lymphoma cells. PMID: 16061290
  3. This study examined the immunoreactivity of a monoclonal antibody to MUM1/IRF4 and compared it with expression of CD79a and CD20 in 109 plasmacytomas in 107 dogs. PMID: 18039900
Subcellular Location
Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor.
Protein Families
MS4A family
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in PBMCs and lymph node from healthy dogs, in B-cells of canine lymphoma, but not in T-cell lymphoma cells and non-T and non-B-cell lymphoma cells.
