IL2RA

IL2RA (Interleukin-2 Receptor Alpha), also known as CD25 (Cluster of Differentiation 25), is a cell surface receptor belonging to the interleukin-2 (IL-2) receptor family. It serves as the α subunit of the IL-2 receptor and is widely expressed on the surface of immune cells, particularly in T lymphocytes (T cells). High expression of IL2RA is closely associated with the activated state of T cells, serving as a critical marker of T cell response. IL2RA plays a significant role in regulating immune responses and balancing T cell functions. IL2RA is pivotal in modulating immune responses and maintaining T cell functional equilibrium. Aberrant expression of IL2RA is implicated in certain immune disorders and autoimmune diseases, potentially leading to immune dysregulation and disease onset. Therefore, IL2RA is considered an important target for immunotherapy. By manipulating the function of IL2RA, it is possible to regulate T cell activation and function, making it a crucial player in immune-based therapies.
