ADAMTSL1

ADAMTSL1, also known as ADAMTS-like protein 1, lacks protease activity unlike ADAMTS family members. It has common aliases such as METH1. Its mechanism involves binding to extracellular matrix components, influencing cell adhesion and migration. It participates in signaling pathways related to angiogenesis and tissue remodeling.
Regarding diseases, ADAMTSL1 is associated with some types of cancer, where its abnormal expression may affect tumor growth and metastasis. In drug development, research is exploring its potential as a therapeutic target. However, there are currently no approved drugs directly targeting ADAMTSL1, but ongoing studies offer hope for future treatments.
