The C9orf72 gene is located on the human chromosome and encodes proteins that have multiple important functions within cells. It locates in the nucleus, regulates the DNA repair process, combines with the core protein of non homologous end repair pathway, and promotes the repair of DNA damage. In addition, C9orf72 can also form complexes with SMCR8 and WDR41, regulate autophagy processes, and maintain protein homeostasis within cells. However, when the C9orf72 gene undergoes mutations, such as excessive expansion of nucleic acid repeat sequences, it can lead to the occurrence of neurodegenerative diseases. This mutation not only affects the normal expression of genes, but may also lead to protein dysfunction.
The following C9orf72 reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
