ZSCAN4 encodes the zinc finger and SCAN domain-containing protein 4. Also known as ZNF206, this protein contains a SCAN domain and multiple C2H2-type zinc fingers. It plays a crucial role in maintaining genomic stability in mouse and human embryonic stem cells by repairing DNA double - strand breaks. The protein is involved in the regulation of the cell cycle, mainly through pathways related to DNA damage response.
Alterations in ZSCAN4 have been linked to some genetic disorders and cancers. Currently, research is ongoing to develop drugs that can target ZSCAN4. These drugs aim to regulate its activity, which could potentially offer new therapeutic strategies for related diseases, but so far, no major breakthroughs have been reported in clinical applications.
The following ZSCAN4 reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
