AKI1 is a potassium ion channel protein whose structure consists of four subunits, each containing six transmembrane helical segments and a central pore that allows selective permeation of potassium ions. As a potassium ion channel, AKI1's primary function is to maintain the balance of potassium ions inside and outside the cell, which is crucial for maintaining normal cellular physiological functions. In terms of biological roles, AKI1 participates in regulating neuronal excitability, electrical activity of cardiomyocytes, as well as cell apoptosis and proliferation, having significant impacts on nerve conduction, heart rhythm, and cell survival and growth. Therefore, AKI1 plays an important role in biological research and drug development.
The following AKI1 reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
