BCL9L

BCL9L, B-cell lymphoma/leukaemia 9-like protein, is a protein with a high degree of homology to BCL9.BCL9L is mainly derived from the transcription and translation process of genes, and it functions in the nucleus of the cell and participates in the regulation of gene expression.The mechanism of action of BCL9L involves interactions with β-catenin, which regulates cellular proliferation and differentiation by affecting the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway to regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. In terms of signalling, BCL9L binding to β-catenin promotes the formation of complexes with TCF/LEF transcription factors and activates target genes of the Wnt signalling pathway.BCL9L may play a contributory role in tumour development, especially in certain types of cancer, where its overexpression is associated with tumour aggressiveness and poor prognosis.

In a biological sense, BCL9L is not only associated with tumour development, but may also be involved in physiological processes in normal cells, such as cell cycle regulation and tissue regeneration. Due to its role in the Wnt signalling pathway, BCL9L is also a potential target for drug development and cancer therapy research.
