Basic Leucine Zipper and W2 Domain-Containing Protein 1 (BZW1), also known as FLJ20428, is a member of the basic leucine zipper (bZIP) protein family. Its conserved bZIP domain mediates DNA binding and dimerization, enabling it to regulate transcription of genes involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and stress responses.
Abnormal BZW1 expression is linked to malignancies like colorectal and breast cancer, where it promotes tumor growth and metastasis. Preclinical research is exploring therapies targeting its DNA-binding activity or downstream signaling pathways, though no clinical drugs targeting BZW1 are currently available.
The following BZW1 reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
