CD38 (Cluster of Differentiation 38), also known as ADP-ribosyl cyclase 1 or cyclic ADP-ribose hydrolase, is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that functions as a multifunctional ectoenzyme. It catalyzes the synthesis of cyclic ADP-ribose (cADPR) from NAD+, regulating intracellular calcium signaling, and participates in NAD+ metabolism. CD38 also mediates immune cell adhesion and signaling, particularly in lymphocyte activation and apoptosis. Its enzymatic activity intersects with pathways involving calcium mobilization (via ryanodine receptors), sirtuin-mediated metabolic regulation, and immune checkpoints. Overexpression of CD38 is implicated in hematological malignancies (e.g., multiple myeloma, CLL) and autoimmune disorders. IHC image of CSB-RA796695A0HU diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human prostate cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4℃ overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-rabbit IgG polymer labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB.
