DMPK, also known as dystrophin-associated kinase, is a key protein kinase with specific structural domains, including catalytic and regulatory domains, which together determine its kinase activity and substrate specificity. Functionally, DMPK regulates muscle function and other physiological activities, including muscle contraction, cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, by phosphorylating protein substrates. When the expression or function of DMPK is abnormal, it may cause various diseases, especially myotonic dystrophy, which is a genetic muscle disease characterized by muscle weakness, muscle rigidity, and myocardial dysfunction. In the signaling pathway, DMPK interacts with other signaling molecules and proteins to form a complex signaling network involving calcium signaling pathways, MAPK signaling pathways, etc., thereby maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to external stimuli.
The following DMPK reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
