MAL2

MAL2, full name MAL-like protein 2, also known as membrane-associated lipid protein 2. It is a membrane lipid-related protein regulating lipid transport, membrane structure and cell signaling in epithelial tissues. Abnormal MAL2 overexpression correlates with epithelial-derived cancers, promoting tumor epithelial-mesenchymal transition and metastasis. MAL2-targeted inhibitors are under preclinical anti-tumor research.
