OTUB2

OTUB2, also known as ovarian tumor (OTU) domain-containing ubiquitin aldehyde-binding protein 2, is a deubiquitinating enzyme (DUB) that plays a crucial role in regulating protein ubiquitination. It belongs to the OTU family and acts by removing ubiquitin chains from target proteins, thereby influencing various cellular processes. OTUB2 is involved in multiple signaling pathways, including the Hippo, NF-kappaB, and Akt/mTOR pathways, and its dysregulation has been linked to several diseases, such as cancer, liver fibrosis, and diabetes. Recent research has identified OTUB2 as a potential therapeutic target, with ongoing drug development focusing on inhibiting its activity to treat various diseases.
