SCTR

SCTR, full name secretin receptor, also known as SR, is a G protein-coupled receptor mainly expressed in the pancreas, liver and gastrointestinal tract. It specifically binds secretin peptide, regulates digestive juice secretion and maintains normal gastrointestinal physiological functions.
Abnormal SCTR expression is related to digestive system tumors, pancreatic diseases and gastrointestinal dysfunction. It is also a potential biomarker for pancreatic cancer diagnosis. At present, SCTR-targeted agonists and antagonists are under preclinical research, providing new strategies for digestive tract diseases and malignant tumors.
