ZGLP1, zinc finger GATA-like protein 1, alias GLP1/GATA-type zinc finger protein 1/GATA-like protein 1/GLP-1. it is a protein that functions in the nucleus with predicted sequence-specific DNA-binding activity and zinc ion-binding activity. zGLP1 is involved in a a variety of biological processes, including negative regulation of RNA polymerase II transcription, oocyte development, and positive regulation of RNA polymerase II transcription. In addition, it acts anteriorly or internally in spermatogenesis and is expressed in structures such as the gonads, heart, liver, lungs, and kidneys.
