DNAJC15

DNAJC15, also known as DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member C15, is a protein involved in the regulation of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. It acts as a negative regulator, preventing mitochondrial hyperpolarization and restricting ATP generation. DNAJC15 is part of the TIM23 translocase complex, facilitating protein import into the mitochondrial matrix. It interacts with HSPA9 to stimulate ATPase activity. This protein is associated with various signaling pathways, including the nuclear receptors meta-pathway and the glucocorticoid receptor pathway. Diseases linked to DNAJC15 include 3-Methylglutaconic Aciduria, Type V and Spondyloepimetaphyseal Dysplasia, Strudwick Type. Research on DNAJC15 is ongoing, with potential implications for drug development targeting mitochondrial disorders.

IHC image of CSB-PA22849A0Rb diluted at 1:300 and staining in paraffin-embedded human heart tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
